7th Amendment

"In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law."


This means to me that if I get in trouble no matter what I get a jury. A jury of every day people, which could benefit the people in trouble because it gives them a chance to relate to everyday people while the judge is there to uphold the law. 

This picture shows how it has to be a fair trial.In this the defendant/defense attorney is going against the cookie monster and children who we assume like cookies based of their faces. Pretty much the the case should be worth 20 dollars there for not brought into court. 

This is just showing that it has to be over the value of 20 dollars.
