5th Amendment

The 5th amendment states:
"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, expected in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subjected for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself , nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due precess of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."

To me this amendment means that no matter what I will never get myself in trouble with the law as long as I plead the 5th. Also I couldn't be convicted of the same crime over and over again. It also ensures that the constitutions is attempting to be fair at all times because of the due precess of law.

This relates to the 5th amendment because it helps people understand the Due Process in a cute song. May not be as good as the We the People dar, but it can still help kids learn things about our government.

Relates to how people act when they are getting accused of something they didn't do. Pleading the 5th also makes people look guilty even when it's possible that they aren't. Thank gosh we have to be proven guilty in the courts, instead of people just assuming.
