13th Amendment

"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
Section 1:
"Congress shall not have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."

This amendment relates to me because it overall makes my living now a days better. Everybody being close to equal than certain people having no rights simply because it causes problems between everybody. So this amendment has made my life easier and overall better.

This picture just represents blacks being freed from whites, which was the main reason for the 13th amendment. Of course it applies to other type of slavery, but this is the most apparent one during that time.

I put President Lincoln because he was the one in office when this was ratified, and he is the one that came up with the Emancipation Proclamation. So he is a very important part of this amendment.
